Mei "May" Tsang, Esq.

headshot meiMei Tsang is a partner at Fish & Tsang LLP. In 2007, Mei joined Fish & Associates, PC, which became Fish & Tsang when she was named to the firm's nomenclature in 2014. Her work has focused solely on IP enforcement, patent and trademark prosecution, counseling and licensing in the areas of mechanical, electrical and biotechnology. She is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese, and has provided legal assistance on important IP matters in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Primarily, Mei has assisted on litigation teams in the federal courts, including appearances in trademark, copyright and patent litigations. She also has appeared in cases before Illinois and California district courts. Within the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mei has handled proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. Additionally, she has partnered on various initiatives with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, FBI and the Los Angeles Police Department to combat counterfeit violators and infringers throughout the country.

Mei received her law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law, an International Law Certificate from the University of London College of Law and an undergraduate degree in biology from Purdue University. She is actively involved in the Orange County Bar Association's (OCBA) IP and Technology Section and is a member of the International Trademark Association's Anti-Counterfeiting Committee. In addition, she is the president of W3 Women Inc., a member of the Women Presidents' Organization and is a board member of OCBA's Charitable Fund. In 2014, she was named barrister to the Howard T. Markey Intellectual Property American Inn of Court.

Mei and her husband are proud parents of two boys. Outside of the office and courtroom, she enjoys running, hiking, traveling and assisting her husband with his design company. She also is passionate about architecture and learning how environments affect lifestyles.
