Steven Castaneda is a senior associate attorney who specializes in domestic and foreign patent prosecution in a variety of technical disciplines, including chemical and mechanical engineering.
Steven’s strong work ethic and ability to confront difficult IP challenges through the collaborative environment make him a valuable member of the team. He offers strategic and targeted solutions that align with clients’ individual goals and portfolio needs.
Steven received his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. While at Loyola, he participated on the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Team. Prior to Fish IP Law, he worked at a prominent immigration law firm, assisting in the preparation of motions and appeal briefs before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Steven is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County. He also is admitted to practice in California, USPTO and the Central District of California.
When not at work, Steven enjoys attending sports events, especially Dodgers and Lakers games, and boxing matches. Steven is also bilingual – fluent in Spanish and English.
